Altenew life is awesome stamp set
Altenew Botanical you stamp set
Elizabeth craft designs happy frame craft dies
Today, I am sharing a birthday card that I made for a dear family friend of over 15 years. Floral cards are one of my favorite cards to make because it is addicting. The more flowers you stamp, the more exciting it gets, which makes you want to stamp more. :) In this card, I have used two stamp sets from Altenew, one is the “life is awesome” stamp set for the main floral scenes, the other is the “botanical you” stamp set for the tiny berries. At last, I completed the look with a frame made from a craft die. Today, I am sharing a simple but cozy Christmas card. The stamp that I used is from Concord and 9th Winter Wear stamp set. There is no masking involved while assembling the girl. It is super easy to stamp and color but the feeling is cozier than ever. I have colored two girls and decided to use the green scarf girl and save the other girl for later. While I was debating how I am gonna display my girl with the background from dark to light or light to dark, taking pictures and seeing from the different angles definitely helps in decision making. I always believe red is one of the most festive color. So it is must be included in 2018 Christmas card collection. This is a tri-fold card with deer ornament die and Chinese sentiment “Jesus loves you”. The card then was closed with a paper band that stamped with Merry Christmas or Happy Holiday. It is meaningful to me since I have incorporated my father-in-law’s Chinese writings in the card. The Chinese writing was a custom-made rubber stamp, so I could continuously use it in cards. This is a very fun card to make I will say. I never make a card that lights up before and it actually lights up in the first try. I am so proud of myself. :) This card is made for a special person who needs courage and strength. By pushing the star that little critter is holding, the stars in the sky will light up and send the strength to that special someone from me. I took a zillion pictures for this project because I want to make sure I remember the next time I make LED lights up card. Instead of explaining the project frame by frame, I have created a slideshow to speed things up. ~~Here is the slideshow for the process of making this card~~ Supplies:

Spring is just around the corner, the cold snowing winter is about to pass. I know Spring fairy is working hard to bring color to the garden. This is how I picture my garden will be again... full of the vivid color..... all thanks to the Spring fairy, not me. lol So happy to be chosen as a guest designer on Crafting by design for the March 1st anything goes challenge. Today I am sharing one of my favorite stamp and die: Hello Lovely clear stamp set and heartstrings dies. Enjoy~ I choose happy birthday sentiment not only to celebrate the start of the Spring season but also to give a shout-out to all the friends and "me" who were born in the month of March. ^^ Happy Birthday~~ <Here are some of the behind the scene photo> I choose to use Faber Castell Gelatos for it's texture and easy to blend with water. I draw some line on the leaf and use water brush to blend the color, also purposely to leave some texture and bleed outside of line. While waiting for the watercolor paper to dry, I die cut few of the heartstrings die from Concord & 9th, these blank die cut will be add it to the card later. The same heartstrings die again places on the main flower to cut the shape out. Then flip the card over to take out just the outer heart. You can see I put the washi tape on the die to make sure the distance between outer and inner die stay the same through out entire card making process.... Because of that when I add the blank heart die cut, it will fit exactly into the same space. Once the first blank heart die cut is in place, I seal entire heart with double adhesive sheet to secure every pieces. So when I flip over if any piece fell out(hoping not all of them) I can easily put it back. Luckily when I flip it over , just two pieces are needed to place it back. ^^ With all the pieces in place, the rest of the blank heart die cut is applied with glue and stacked on one by one. The last die cut shape will be placed on the top is the die cut from the original drawing. Lastly adding some embellishment and Happy Birthday sentiment, the card is completed. Thank you for visiting my blog~ Happy crafting! Supplies:
Concord & 9th Hello Lovely clear stamp set Concord & 9th Heartstrings dies Faber Castell Gelatos Lawn Fawn Happy Birthday die I find myself wanted to do a simple card to help me relax after a long week of work, work and work.... and it works. Ah..... feeling good. <Behind the scene photo> I used Riley Flower from IOstamps and distress oxide for coloring. After inking the stamp then spritz some water on the stamp before stamped it on the black card. Distress oxide creates this chalky effect on the black card. I also use the same color choice to come up this colorful sheet. Then using ElizabethCraftDesign die to cut out the design to decorate the card. Add the sentiment "Find joy in the ordinary" to complete the card. Enjoy~ Supplies: Thank you for visiting my blog and see you soon~
I have joined a group of talented crafter in Taiwan to come up more than 160 sets of Chinese new year card. All these handmade cards will be distributed to elderly during the new year eve dinner time. It is an honer to be able to contribute something like this. Here are the five cards that I have created for them. Since it is mainly for older generation so I decided to stick to the traditional red color scene for my cards. I wish them and everyone good health, great luck and prosperity . 1. Having all the good blessing in your house card~ 2. Every year have more than you need card~ 3. The joy of New Year be with you throughout the year card~ 4. May the coming New Year bring you joy, love and peace card~ 5. Lots of luck for this Rooster year card~ Thank you for visiting my blog and see you soon~
I decided to blend distress ink mermaid lagoon, blueprint sketch and seedless preserves combo for the night sky effect. Choosing only the sky and stars and switch them to another white cardstock that has the same diecut. The other part(house and trees) can be used for a different card, I will save it for later. I love this die that I can create many combination. For this ornament, I will only use the outer part and save the smaller rings later. I hand cut a circle and cut out the detail just like the die then use it as a base. I start to place the center pieces on top and then glue the outer ring one at a time. Since it is a shaker card, it needs necessary depth for beads to hold, I end up using ten outer rings in total. lol Before I add the acetate and final ring, I decided to add some snow using white gel pen. Finally adding blue ribbon with a silver star. Voila! I find myself constantly making birthday card, don't get me wrong, I love creating birthday card. I guess it is the most popular card that we give away to friends and family. So I always try to make few birthday cards in advance, and add a gift or flowers then it is ready~ I used a happy card frame die from Concord & 9th for Bday card, and was going to add a color splatter page right behind the frame. It turned out to be too busy that I can't even see the word "happy". So I had to come up a plan B which is adding a velum in between to tune down the color and it works great! The splatter paper was salvaged from previous project for a journal page. It is perfect to use for this card. The happy card frame die cuts very well and can be used for many occasion such as "happy" holiday; "happy" for you; "happy" to see you or "happy" birthday. I love the outcome of this birthday card. Yeah!
